The 3-Class Shootout returns this year and will be played this coming weekend, Saturday March 27, at the McCook Central Auditorium in Salem, South Dakota. The event, which is for the top seniors in each respective classes will compete against the other classes in a four game schedule including a dunk contest in between games three and four.
This year, Caytee Williams from Pierre, was selected to be a part of the AA roster as the lone representative from the Governors. She’ll team up with fellow ESD members, Brecli Honner and Carolyn Haar from Harrisburg, Brooklyn Kussler and Abby Kopecky from Aberdeen Central, Macy Kempf from Mitchell, Emma Jarovski from Brandon Valley and Maggie Heesch from Watertown. Brielle Biteler from Washington and Isabelle Moore from O’Gorman round out the AA team.
For Class B, White River will have Caelyn Valandra-Pure represent the team while Kalla Bertram from Winner will be on the Class A team. Brady Fritz from Winner will be on the boys A team as Dayton Priebe from Chamberlain was also selected.
The AA Girls will take on the A Girls at 2:00 with the winner face the B Girls at 3:30. Then it will be the AA Boys against the A Boys at 5:15 with the dunk contest to follow. Rounding out the night will be the winner of the first game against the B Boys, scheduled for 7:00. You can see a full list of the teams below.
