The Pierre Governors had a strong showing in the state tournament and as the first ever All-ESD team is announced, Pierre took up nearly half of the spots.
Out of the seven wrestlers to be rewarded to the ESD team, three Pierre Governors were selected. Ciara McFarling, Marlee Shorter and Sydney Uhrig all made the first ever All-ESD team. All three will be back for at least two years as Shorter is a sophomore while Uhrig is only a freshman and McFarling is only an eighth grader.
Morgan Woosley from Aberdeen Central, Cherish Stern from Brookings, Regina Stoeser from Harrisburg and Nevaeh Leonard from Yankton were the other four selected to this year’s inaugural team.
