PIERRE, (KCCR) — Two New Town, North Dakota men have been indicted by a federal grand jury for allegedly robbing a credit union. Forty year-old Jason Cook and 37 year-old Conrad DeMarce pleaded not guilty to the indictments April 21st. The indictment alleges Cook and DeMarce stole money from the Black Hills Federal Credit Union Branch in Eagle Butte on April 8th of 2025 by force, violence or intimidation. The men are facing a maximum penalty, if convicted, of 20 years in federal prison and or a 250-thousand dollars. Three years of supervised release and a payment to the Federal Crime Victims fund are also possible penalties if the men are found guilty. New Town, North Dakota is 305 miles north of Eagle Butte. Cook and DeMarce are currently being held by the U-S Marshals Service. A trail has tentatively been set for June 30th of 2025.
