The Pierre Governor softball team will be back at home this afternoon to take on the Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles in a rescheduled make up game from the beginning of the season.
Pierre is still 0-3 on the season after not playing last Thursday due to the weather. The game against Brookings will be made up on May 2nd. Today, the Govs will face Aberdeen Central who had its game postponed back on April 1 which was scheduled to be the opening game of the season. The Golden Eagles are 0-4 to start the season as both the Govs and Golden Eagles have lost to the same teams. Aberdeen lost by 15 to Yankton, nine to Mitchell and four to Watertown while Pierre played all three of those teams closer, but are still searching for its first win. This is the first of four games scheduled this week for the Govs.
First pitch is at 4:00 from the Riggs High School Softball Field.
