The Pierre Governor track and field team would host 13 teams at the Bob Judson invite on Tuesday and rattle of 26 wins including a new school record in a relay race.
Pierre
In the 4×100 girls relay race, Emlyn Swanson, Charlee Williams-Smith, Brooke Hansen and Kali Ringstmeyer would run a time of 48.86 to win the race and break the school record. Other wins for the Governors, Ringstmeyer would also win the 100 and 200 meter runs, Williams-Smith would win the 400 meter run and team up with Josephine Wurtz, Emery Larson and Lennix DuPris to win the 4×400 relay race. Larson would also win the 800 and 1600 meter runs while Swanson would win the triple jump and Sorrine Ekle the shot put throw.
For the Governor boys, Karson Walti would win the 100 meters, Carson Stoeser the 200 meters, Caleb Morris the 1600 meters and Jim Neddo the 3200 meters. Lincoln Dilges would get both the 110 and 300 meter hurdle wins. The team of Walti, Carter Schiefelbein, Carter Merril and Eladio Simental would win the 4×100 relay race, the team of Carter Norton, Steven Blanchette, Will Danburg and Stoeser would win the 4×200, Schiefelbein, Blanchette, Norton and George Rapp the 4×400 and Jayden Brandt, Jagger Gardner, Tryton Parmely and Caleb Morris the 4×800 relay. Corde Austin had the high jump win, Stoeser the long jump, Elijah Boutchee the shot put throw, Cactus Korkow the discus and Colter Babcock the javelin.
Sully Buttes
The Sully Buttes Chargers would have two wins on the day at the invite as Payge Bakker would win both the discus and Gavin Barber would win the 400 meters. Bakker also placed second in the shot put throw and Atticus Miles and Annaliese Van Zee would get third in the javelin. Jaycee Jaeger would get fifth in the triple jump while Barber had a sixth place finish in the 100 meters and Myli Weischedel a sixth place finish in the 800 meters.
Stanley County
Stanley County would grab a win in the sprint medley relay race as the team of Paxton Deal, Case Kolda, Eddie Duffy and Ryland Magee would take home first place. Brendon Bothwell, Spencer Sargent, Justin Trebbe and Magee would place third in the 4×800 while Trevor Caldwell was third in the discus throw. For the girls, the team of Addy Deal, Austyn Norman, Kaysen Magee and Kamora Rutherford placed third in the 4×200 while Magee was fourth in the 400 meters and the team of Libby Harrington, Brylee Kafka, Austyn Norman and Journey Schnee were fifth in the 4×100 relay.
Potter County
The Poter County Battlers would get two wins on Tuesday with Jaycee Stevens in the 3200 meters and Dannika Kaup in the 300 meter hurdles picking up wins. Kaup, Jaydn Ahlemeier, Finlee Heien and Emma Schlachter would get second in the 4×400 and then Kaup, Ahlemeier, Schlachter and Rayel Persoon was second in the 4×800. Schlachter was also second in the 800 meters and Stevens third in the 1600 meters. On the boys side, Michael Jager, Landon Larson, Jhett Simon and Leo Aesoph had the best finish, placing third in the 4×100 relay.
Lyman
Two wins for the Lyman Raiders as Jordyn Scott, Bree Smart, Claire Griffith and Brooke Montgomery would win the 4×200 relay race and Aksel Ehlers would win the pole vault. Dawson Volmer would get second in the high jump and Montgomery second in the 100 meters. Montogomery along with Smart, Scott and Kenzie Wagner placed second in the sprint medley relay race. Addy Moran was third in the discus.
Jones County
Another two wins for Jones County as Addison Rankin was first in the high jump while Adrik Schoon was first in the 800 meter run. Jace Nix was second in the 300 meter hurdles and BreAna Aske second in the 400 meters.
Highmore-Harrold
Autmn Fallis had the best finish for the Highmore-Harrold Pirates placing second in the 1600 meter run and third in the 300 meter hurdles for the girls. Brooks McPeak was second in the 3200 meter run and the team of Kia McAuley, Carter Webb, Brooks McPeak and Jordan Erfman placed third in the sprint medley relay race.
