PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. An update on the transition of air service from Denver Air Connection to SkyWest is expected during the meeting’s special business portion. Commissioners will consider approval of a seven-item consent calendar containing minutes and claims for approval and five new hires in the Park, Golf, Police, Water and Wastewater Departments. In unfinished business, Commissioners will get updated on new water meter installation and will consider a request to purchase more meters. The Commission will also get an update from the Pierre/Fort Pierre Historic Preservation Commission, and consider two items relating to Pierre Regional Airport. The first is the request to purchase a cyrotech liquid deicer and the second is for projects on taxiways on Runway seven-two-five. Commissioners will present any dialogue they have before the meeting ends. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
