
PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. Two items of special business kick off tonight’s meeting. A proclamation will be made for Developmental Disabilities Month and the Commission will recognize the championship Riggs ProStart culinary team. Commissioners will consider a nine-item consent calendar before moving on to the main agenda. Commissioners will get an update on the Euclid Avenue project and a reminder of the Wednesday night public meetings. Commissioners will consider a request to purchase a side dump for the Water Department and will give second reading to an update of the city’s Emerald Ash Borer ordinance. Commissioners will hear an update on Hillsview Golf Course and discuss the Crested Avenue storm drain project. Other agenda items include an electric department switch repair, a recycling agreement with Envirotech Waste Services and a lease agreement for the Capital City Farmer’s Market. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
