Pierre Swim Team Competes at 13 and Over State A Championship

2025 SD 13 & Over State A Championship

In the Girls 13-14 Division, we had 5 swimmers:

• Evie Caveny swam the 100 free, 200 free, 500 free, 100 IM, 200 IM and 400 IM in the Prelims.

• Aubrey Chamberlin swam the 50 free, 100 free, 100 breaststroke & 100 IM in the Prelims. She made it to the Finals in both the 100 & 200 breaststroke. She placed 16^th in the 100 & 13^th in the 200.

• Lily Eggebraaten swam the 50 free, 100 breaststroke & 200 breaststroke in Prelims. She made it to the Finals in the 200 breaststroke placing 12^th.

• Presley Frost swam the 50 free, 100 IM & 400 IM in prelims.

• Grace Hutton swam the 50 free, 100 free, 200 free, 500 free, 100 back & 200 back in the prelims. She made it to Finals in both the 100 back and 200 back. 7th-200 back & 10^th -100 back.

In the Girls 15-16 Division, we had 7 swimmers:

• Riley Berg swam the 50 free, 100 fly, 200 fly, 100 IM, 200 IM & 400 IM in prelims. She made it to Finals in the 100 fly, 200 fly, 400 IM & 200 IM. 8th-200 fly, 14^th–200 IM & 16^th–100 fly.

• Sydney Carlson swam the 50 free & 200 breaststroke in prelims, making Finals in the 200 breaststroke with a place of 13^th.

• Amara Dell swam the 50 free, 100 free, 100 back, 100 breaststroke, 100 fly & 100 IM in prelims. She made it to finals in the following: 9^th–100 back, 10^th–100 fly, 11^th–100 IM & 15^th–100 breaststroke

• Sorrine Ekle swam the 50 free, 100 free, 200 free, 500 free, 1000 free & 1650 free in prelims. She made it to Finals in all: 4^th–1000 free, 5^th–1650 free, 5^th–500 free, 8^th–100 free, 8^th–200 free & 15^th–50 free

• Charlie Hull swam the 50 free, 100 free, 200 free, 100 back, 100 fly & 100 IM in prelims. She made finals in all: 3^rd–200 free, 3^rd–100 back, 3^rd–100 IM, 4^th–50 free, 5^th–100 free & 5^th–100 fly

• Clare Madsen swam the 50 free, 100 free, 100 breaststroke, 200 breaststroke, 100 fly & 100 IM in prelims. She made finals in all: 6^th–200 breaststroke, 11^th–100 breaststroke, 12^th–100 free, 14^th–100 IM, 15^th–100 fly & 16^th–50 free

• Ann Tjeerdsma swam the 1000 free, 1650 free, 100 back, 200 back & 400 IM. She made it to finals in the following: 11^th–1650 free, 13^th–1000 free & 13^th–200 back

In the Girls 17-19 Division, we had 5 swimmers:

• Mason Berg swam the 100 free, 200 free, 500 free & 1000 free in prelims. She made it to finals in the 1000 free placing 11^th.
• Ellie Foell swam the 50 free, 100 breaststroke, 200 breaststroke in prelims.
• Avery Lisburg swam the 50 free, 100 free, 200 free, 500 free, 100 breaststroke & 100 IM in prelims.
• Rowina Salado swam the 50 free, 100 fly & 100 IM in prelims
• Nicole Weiss swam the 50 free, 100 free, 100 breaststroke & 200 breaststroke in prelims.

In the Boys 13-14 Division, we had 4 swimmers:

• Finley Ellwein swam the 1650 free, 100 breaststroke, 200 breaststroke, 100 fly, 200 fly, 200 IM in prelims. He made it to finals in all: 6^th–200 fly, 7^th–100 breaststroke, 8^th–200 breaststroke, 10^th–200 IM, 10^th–1650 free & 11^th–100 fly

• Trey Linn swam the 50 free, 100 free, 100 breaststroke, 200 breaststroke, 100 IM & 200 IM in prelims. He made it to Finals in the following: 10^th–200 breaststroke, 12^th–100 breaststroke, 13^th–100 free & 14^th–200 IM

• Matthew Maritz swam the 50 free, 100 free, 200 free, 100 back, 100 breaststroke, 200 breaststroke, 100 IM & 400 IM in prelims. He made it to finals in the following: 6^th–50 free, 6^th–100 free, 8^th–100 IM, 10^th–100 breaststroke & 12^th–200 breaststroke.

• Ben Murphy swam the 50 free, 100 free, 200 free, 100 back, 100 IM & 200 IM in prelims.

In the Boys 15-16 Division, we had 4 swimmers:

• Max Brosz swam the 50 free, 100 free, 200 free, 100 breaststroke, 200 breaststroke and 100 IM in prelims. He made it to finals in the following: 14th-200 free, 14^th–200 breaststroke, 14^th–100 IM

• Caleb Hutton swam the 50 free, 100 free, 200 free, 100 back, 100 fly & 100 IM in prelims. He made it to finals in the following: 9^th–100 IM, 11^th–100 free, 12^th–50 free & 12^th–100 back

• Francis Salado swam the 50 free, 100 free, 100 back & 100 IM. He made it to finals in the 100 IM placing 16^th

• Ry Schaefbauer swam the 50 free, 100 free, 200 free, 500 free, 1000 free & 100 IM in prelims. He made it to finals in the following: 10^th–1000 free & 16^th–200 free

In the Boys 17-19 Division, we had 6 swimmers:

• Bryce Bowman swam the 50 free, 100 free, 100 back, 100 fly, 100 IM & 400 IM in prelims. He made is to finals in the 100 back, placing 8^th.

• Colton Cass swam the 50 free, 100 free, 200 free, 100 back, 100 fly & 100 IM in prelims.

• Kelan Harris swam the 200 free, 100 back, 200 back, 100 breaststroke, 200 breaststroke & 100 IM in prelims.

• Seth Shoup swam the 50 free, 100 free, 100 breaststroke & 100 IM in prelims.

• Sawyer Somsen swam the 200 free, 100 back, 200 back, 100 fly, 100 IM & 200 IM in prelims. He made it to Finals in the following: 7^th–100 back, 7^th–200 back & 8^th–100 IM

• Mason Ward-Zeller swam the 100 back, 100 breaststroke, 100 fly, 200 fly, 100 IM & 200 IM in prelims. He made Finals in the following: 1^st–100 back, 1^st–100 fly, 1^st–200 fly, 1^st–100 IM & 3^rd–200 IM. Mason achieved the Overall State record in the 100 fly, 100 back & 100 IM. He also broke the State Meet record in the 200 fly!

High Point Winner:

3^rd Place-Mason Ward-Zeller (Men’s 17-19 Division)

Mason achieved the Overall State record in the 100 fly, 100 back & 100 IM.  He also broke the State Meet record in the 200 fly!

Charlie Hull and Mason Ward-Zeller are competing at the Speedo Sectionals in Rochester, MN March 13-16th.  This will finish the 2024-2025 Winter season. Summer season will start Mid to late April.
