FORT PIERRE, (KCCR) — American Bank and Trust has awarded the Stanley County School District over 23-hundred dollars in grants as a part of the banking institutions’ Spirit Card program. The funds come from Spirit Cards where a portion of purchases made with a card go to the district represented on the debit card. Stanley County will use the funds for sending students to the State HOSA Leadership Conference for student participation and development in health science education. Books and calculators for enhancing student success and book replacements to ensure students have access to current information will also be purchased with the Spirit Card dollars. Part of the Spirit Card award will also be used to purchase storage organizers for improved efficiency in the classroom and materials of shop classes for skill development and to support hands-on learning.
