The Pierre Governors would place sixth at the state gymnastics meet on Friday in Watertown scoring a 138.7667 while the Harrisburg Tigers would win the team title with a 152.9833.
The Governors had a strong showing missing out on a top five finish by just 1.1 points and were within 10 points of placing second. Harrisburg clipped Mitchell by 4.35 points to take home the AA state title. Estelline-Hendricks scored a 145.9333 to win the Class A state title.
Individually on Saturday, the Governors had Kirsten Korber tied for 17th in the vault with a 8.85 while Emelia Loe scored an 8.3 in the vault. In the bars, KaCee Wilson placed 19th with a score of 8.6167 while Ryen Sheppick scored a 8.2167 and Myclane Sheppick had a 7.55. Isabel Jirsa placed 13th with a 9.1 in the beam, the highest finish for any Governor. Loe scored a 8.7833, Rebecca Spitzer an 8.7667 and Ryen Sheppick with an 8.75. Madelyn Merril had an 8.6667 and Ryen Sheppick an 8.5167 on the floor.
