Chargers Travel to Murdo to Face Jones County

The Sully Buttes Chargers had two big wins on Saturday and will now head to face the Jones County Coyotes in a boys and girls doubleheader.

The Charger girls are back to .500 with the win over Warner at now 7-7. They face another team above .500 as the Coyotes are 7-5, but have been on a downward trend. The Coyotes have lost back-to-back and three of four with losses to Bennett County and Gregory on Friday and Saturday. The Chargers have won three in a row and are down to six games remaining in the regular season.

The Charger boys are 9-3 on the season and have won five in a row. The Chargers are in ninth place in all of Class B and want wins to stay up high heading into the final weeks of the regular season. Jones County is 5-10 and have lost five in a row and seven of eight. The Coyotes have just one win in nearly a month coming at the Jones County Tournament. The Chargers want to handle business tonight before the rivalry game on Friday against Potter County.

DT Meyer, the voice of the Sully Buttes Chargers will have the call on Country 95.3, pierrecountry.com and on YouTube at Country 95.3 Sports with the girls tipping off around 6:30 and the boys game to follow at the Harold Thune Auditorium in Murdo.
