This weekend both the Oahe Capitals boys and girls varsity teams will face the Mitchell Marlins at home with Saturday being Pink the Rink at the Expo Center.
The Lady Capitals will play the Marlins twice, both tonight and on Saturday as they want to avenge the 3-2 loss to the Marlins in Mitchell just a couple of weeks ago. The Capitals beat Aberdeen 6-5 in overtime in one the key wins of the season and now are looking to continue to build off the success and solidify a top four spot in the standings with two wins.
The Capitals are in a massive game for playoff implications. The Caps along with Mitchell and Watertown are fighting for the last two spots in the state tournament. One team will be left out and the Capitals need wins against these two teams to make it happen. Saturday night’s game has extra motivation with it being Pink the Rink, and then throwing on how important the game will be.
The girls will play at 6:15 tonight with coverage starting at 5:55 and then on Saturday at 12:00 with coverage around 11:40 with the boys game that night at 8:00.
