The Pierre Governor wrestling teams are in for a big dual tonight as the Govs host the Brandon Valley Lynx with a lot at stake for the boys team.
As the state dual tournament is fast approaching, the Governors need to stay inside the top ten to ensure a spot in the tournament in Pierre on Saturday, February 15. The Governors are 6-4 in duals after going 2-2 last weekend. Pierre is currently in eighth place and face a 10-4 Lynx squad who is in seventh place in the standings. A win can just about guarentee the Governors to make the state tournament.
The Governor girls want to keep rolling. Pierre has not dropped a dual or team title at any tournament this season. The Governors get a chance to be at home tonight before wrestling in Aberdeen on Saturday for another tournament.
The duals begin at 4:30 with a rolling schedule at Riggs High School.
