The Pierre Governor basketball teams are back in action tonight for the final game of the week as the boys will once again be on the road and the girls will be at home as they face the Brandon Valley Lynx.
The Governor girls will be in a tough matchup over the next four games, starting with the 8-1 Lynx tonight at home. Brandon Valley is third in the AA standings and the only loss is to undefeated O’Gorman to begin the season. The Lynx, on the eight game winning streak beat both Spearfish and Douglas last weekend on the road. Pierre is coming in at 4-3 having beat Douglas in a blow out on Tuesday.
The Governor boys will face a tough Lynx squad who also only has one loss. Brandon Valley is at 7-1 with its only loss, a three point defeat to Jefferson who is currently 3-7. BV beat both Spearfish and Douglas on the road last weekend. Pierre is at 3-5, stopping its five game slide on Tuesday in the blow out win over Douglas and will have to travel to the other side of the state to face the Lynx on the road. It’s the second of three straight on the road, with a trip to Aberdeen next Tuesday.
