The Sully Buttes Chargers will be in Onida tonight to face the Timber Lake Panthers in a boys and girls doubleheader starting a busy week.
The Charger girls will come in looking to get past the three game skid at 4-6. After just one game last week, the Chargers will play tonight and on the road to Fort Pierre on Thursday against Stanley County. Sully Buttes sees the 6-4 Timber Lake Panthers in town as the Panthers just had its four game winning streak stopped by McLaughlin. Both teams have plenty of common opponents. The Chargers lost to Ipswich and beat North Central while the Panthers beat Ipswich but lost to North Central. Both teams have a win over Herreid/Selby Area.
The Charger boys will also have two games this week, first facing the 7-3 Panthers. Sully Buttes is 4-3 and playing just the eighth game of the season after a loss to Miller last Thursday. Meanwhile, the Panthers lost to Aberdeen Christian on Saturday, the first loss in seven games for Timber Lake who is in third place in Region 8B. The Chargers remain a top Region 6B.
