The Stanley County Lady Buffaloes didn’t have the offensive answer, although held Potter County down on the defensive side, but would fall 32-22 Tuesday night in Gettysburg.
The Lady Battlers led just 13-4 at the end of the first quarter and 21-9 a the end of the first half. The Lady Buffs just couldn’t get the offense going until the fourth quarter when they scored their highest eight points on the night. Journey Schnee would have eight points to lead the Lady Buffs, but pulled down a game high 19 rebounds for Stanley County. Kaysen Magee had six which included Stanley County’s only three of the game. Potter County was led by Peyton Stevens who had 12 and Taylyn Rausch had 11 as the two in double figures for the Battlers who have won three of four and are 4-5 on the season. Stanley County drops to 1-8 and have lost eight in a row.
Stanley County will still have another game this week, against the ranked Lyman Raiders. Tip off from the Lyman Gardens on Thursday will be around 7:45.
