The Pierre Swim Team is proud to announce the outstanding performances of three of its young swimmers, Betty Lukkes, Garrett Linn, and Bentley Frost, at the 2025 14&Under Midwest All Star Championships held in Des Moines, Iowa. Competing against the best swimmers from across the Midwest, these athletes showcased their talent, determination and sportsmanship.
Betty Lukkes (10): Betty Lukkes delivered impressive performances in her events, demonstrating her prowess in breaststroke and freestyle. Competing in the 10 & Under age group, Betty’s notable achievements include:
- 50 Yard Backstroke: Finished with a time of 35.74, a time cut of 1.58 seconds & placing 11th overall.
- 100 Yard Breaststroke: Finished with a time of 1:28.40, a time cut of 3.78 seconds & placing 7th overall.
- 100 Yard Backstroke: Finished with a time of 1:17.50, a time cut of 1.40 seconds & placing 11th overall
- 100 Freestyle: Finished with a time of 1:08.06, a time cut of 6.09 seconds & placing 12th overall.
- 100 Yard IM: Completed in 1:19.00, a time cut of 2.55 seconds & placing 21st overall.
- 200 Yard IM: Finished with a time of 2:47.56, a time cut of 5.64 seconds & placing 11th overall.
- 200 Yard Medley Relay: Contributed to the team’s overall time of 2:18.61, a time cut of 2.55 seconds & placing 5th overall
- 200 Yard Freestyle relay: Contributed to the team’s overall time of 1:59.58, a time cut of 8.66 seconds & placing 2nd overall.
Garrett Linn (10): Garrett Linn also made a strong impression in the 10 & Under age group, particularly in breaststroke and freestyle events. His key performances include:
- 50 Yard Breaststroke: Finished with a time of 44.82 seconds, placing 20th overall.
- 50 yard Backstroke: Finished with a time of 41.25, placing 37th overall.
- 50 Yard Freestyle: Finished with a time of 34.18, a time cut of .41 seconds & placing 33rd overall.
- 100 Yard Breaststroke: Completed in 1:37.23, a time cut of 5.06 seconds & placing 21st overall.
- 100 yard Freestyle: Finished with a time of 1:17.37, a time cut of .63 seconds, placing 34th overall
- 200 Yard Medley Relay: Contributed to the team’s overall time of 2:37.99, a time cut of 1.80 seconds & placing 9th overall.
- 200 Yard Free Relay: Contributed to the team’s overall time of 2:14.37, a time cut of 6.37 seconds & placed 11th overall.
Bentley Frost (8): Bentley Frost, the youngest of the trio, competed in the 10 & Under age group and delivered remarkable performances, especially in freestyle and butterfly events. His achievements include:
- 50 Yard Fly: Finished with a time of 40.30 seconds, a time cut of .57 & placing 28th overall.
- 50 Yard Free: Finished with a time of 34.59 & placed 34th overall.
- 100 Yard Freestyle: Finished with a time of 1:16.63 & placed 32nd overall.
- 100 Yard IM: Completed in 1:28.80 & placed 29th overall.
- 200 Yard Free: Finished with a time of 2:46.47, placing 22nd overall.
- 200 Yard Medley Relay: Contributed to the team’s overall time of 2:37.99, a time cut of 1.80 seconds & placed 9th overall.
- 200 Yard Free Relay: Helped the team achieve a time of 2:14.37, a time cut of 6.37 seconds & placed 11th overall.
2025 SD Optomist High Point
Pierre Swim Team had 1 swimmer compete in Watertown this past weekend, January 11th-12th.
In the Boys 13-14 Division:
- Finley Ellwein: 200 back-1st, 200 IM-1st, 200 breaststroke-2nd, 500 free-2nd. All State Qualifying Times. 2nd Place Hight Point.
