The Pierre Governor wrestling teams had successful weekends as the boys would place fifth over the two days in Presho at the Mid-Dakota Monster while the Governor girls would get a dual win at home on Friday over Harrisburg and then winning the Bride of the Monster tournament on Saturday.

The Pierre girls would beat Harrisburg 49-12 Friday night at home to remain unbeaten in duals. Pierre had Layne Heasley, Gemma Stangeland, Lexie Hillmer, Kezrey Benning Abbi Lewis and Kyanne Traversie-Johnson all had fall wins while Dani Ringstemyer had a decision win and Ireland Templeton with a major decision win. On Saturday, Pierre would get the tournament win scoring a 205, beating second place Canton by 21 points with a 184. Ringstmeyer, Hillmer and Lewis all picked up tournament championships while Shaylee Speck, Benning and Templeton all got to the championship and placed second.

For the Governor boys, Pierre scored a team total of 200 while Canton would win the tournament with a total of 246.5. The Governors would get a tournament win for Elijah Boutchee while both Gable Uhrig and Alex Oedekoven would each make the championship match. Rowdy Menning also had a third place finish and Bode Minder fourth for the Governors.
