Stanley County Splits Doubleheader in McLaughlin

The Stanley County Buffaloes would split its doubleheader with the McLaughlin Mustangs on Thursday on the road with the boys winning 66-33 while the Lady Buffs would fall 43-16.

The Lady Buffs couldn’t get the offense going in the loss and had the running clock enacted against them in the second half. It’s the seventh straight loss for the Lady Buffs. JoRayah Walker had seven for the Lady Buffs while Addy Deal had five and Camryn Norman had three. Sandy Steele would lead all scorers for McLaughlin with 16 points.

In the boys game, Stanley County would run away with the game and enact the running clock in the second half for its fourth consecutive win on the season. Kaden Montana would have the game high 16 points while Paxton Deal had 15 and Eddie Duffy had 13 points for the Buffs.

Stanley County Lady Buffs, at 1-7, will travel to Potter County on Tuesday for a 7:30 tip off while the 5-1 Buffalo boys team will head to Murdo for the Jones County Tournament starting next Thursday against Bennett County and a 1:00 tip off.
