Charger Girls Roll at Home to Start 2025 Portion of Schedule

The Sully Buttes Chargers made short work of the Aberdeen Christian Knights Saturday afternoon and pulled away with a 59-26 victory.

The Chargers led at the end of the first quarter 28-1 and 42-12 at the half. The winless Knights found a few bright spots in the second half, but the continuous clock was enacted for the entirety of it and the Chargers emptied their bench to close it out and go to 4-3.

Payge Bakker came up huge, with 22 total points, 20 in the first half, and Analiese Van Zee came alive and added 14. Junior guard Berkely Birney stepped into the starting lineup and made the most of her opportunity scoring 16 points with four threes mixed in. Aberdeen Christian was led in scoring by Jolie Fogarty with 13 points for the 0-4 Knights.

The Charger girls have a busy stretch in the week ahead facing 5-1 Tiospaye Topa Thunderhawks on Tuesday, and at home against an improved Highmore-Harrold squad Friday night. You can hear that contest on Country 95.3FM with DT Meyer making the call.
