The Sully Buttes Chargers will return to the court on Saturday on the road for a girls and boys doubleheader against the Wolsey-Wessington Warbirds.
The Charger girls are 2-2 after an impressive win last Friday at home against Herreid/Selby Area, beating the Wolverines 51-43. Payge Bakker has been the leading scorer in each of the four games for the Chargers, but the rest of the team has been adding on to the contributions. Wolsey-Wessington is at 0-2 with a close loss to Wessington Springs and a loss to De Smet.
The Charger boys will look to get back into the win column on Saturday facing the 2-0 Warbirds. The Chargers dropped a tough game to Winner on Saturday and are 1-1 on the season. Wolsey-Wessington has two running clock wins over Highmore-Harrold and Iroquois/Lake Preston. Sully Buttes clipped the Warbirds last year with a 62-61 victory just before Christmas.
