The Pierre Governor gymnastics team would place ninth in the final event for 2024 at the Mitchell Invite held at the Corn Palace on Saturday.
The Governors were in the second session at the Jill McCormick Invite. Ryen Sheppick would place 24th in the All-Around for Pierre with a total of 32.6 while teammate Madelyn Merril would 29th with a 32.2. Kirsten Korber had the best individual finish for the Governors in the combined scoring. Korber finished in 17th in the vault with an 8.775.
Overall Harrisburg would win the invite with a total of 150.35 while the Governors, in ninth, finished with a total of 131.575. Mitchell’s Bentley Bates would win the All-Around scoring a 38.05.
