The Pierre Governor basketball teams will have two more games left on the calendar as the Govs face Sturgis and Spearfish this weekend with the girls hosting and the boys traveling.

The Governor boys are 2-0 to begin the season and will travel out west to face the Scooper and Spartans. Sturgis is 0-1 with a loss to Custer 71-54. The Scoopers went 8-13 last season falling to Harrisburg in the SoDak 16. Spearfish, on the other hand, is 1-0 with a 64-28 blowout win over Belle Fourche. The Spartans went 10-11 falling in the SoDak 16 to Brandon Valley last year, but graduated three seniors.
Tip off of the girls game tonight is at 7:00 and 2:00 on Saturday. The boys will tip off at 8:00 and 3:00 Central Times on Friday and Saturday. After this weekend, Pierre will have two weeks before its next game against Bismarck.
