The Sully Buttes Chargers will have a second go at its first win of the season when the Chargers head to Bowdle tonight to take on the North Central Thunder.
Sully Buttes had a big night from Payge Bakker scoring 27 points, but the rest of the team had just eight. The Chargers will look for more balanced scoring heading into the second game and trying to hold down the Thunder.
North Central comes in to tonight playing its first South Dakota game, but are 1-0 on the season beating Strasburg/Zeeland North Dakota last Friday in a 41-14 blow out win. North Central went 8-13 last year with the Chargers beating the Thunder 54-47. North Central graduated two seniors from last year and do not have any seniors on this year’s team, but have two eighth graders.
