Payge Bakker, a senior at Sully Buttes, would sign her National Letter of Intent on Tuesday morning with Northern State Track and Field to continue her athletic career.
Bakker has thrown discus and shot put since her freshman year for the Sully Buttes Chargers which included a top ten finish at the Region 6B track and field meet in the discus in her sophomore season. She has been a two time state qualifier and placed 23rd her sophomore year at shot put and 25th her junior year and will be looking for a third straight trip to the state meet this spring. Bakker will have her senior year of basketball before moving over to track and field in the spring. Bakker plans to study pre-nursing with the goal of being a NICU nurse.
