PIERRE, (KCCE) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. The Commission will consider approval of a four-item consent calendar which includes meeting minutes and claims, a raffle request from PAWS Animal Rescue and the seasonal hire at Pierre Regional Airport of former City Planner John Childs. In unfinished business, the Commission will consider approval of a plat change in Riverside Cemetery. In new business, the Commission will consider approval of a change order fro 2024 cure in-place sewer pipe lining and will set December 16th at 5:30 pm as the time for a joint city/county meeting to consider items in the extra territorial areas of Pierre and Hughes County, specifically for a rezoning request along Highway 14. Commissioners will give introduction to two plat requests, one in the Maier Addition and the second in the Sunset Meadows Addition. The Commission will also consider approval of the 2025 salary policy before Commissioners present any dialogue they may have. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
