Wednesday morning, the Sully Buttes Football team will hold a pep rally as they get set for the 9B state championship on Thursday against Faulkton Area. The town will also being sending off the Chargers later in the day.
At 8:30 on Wednesday, the Chargers will hold the pep rally with a player walk which will begin at the south end elementary playground entrance. The players will walk down the hallway and into the gym. Parents and the public are welcome to join the students in the hallway to cheer on and support the team.
The send off will be later on in the day when the bus will leave the school at 2:50. As the bus drives up Main Street to the courthouse and then towards The Corner, Sully Buttes is asking fans to line up from along the path to show off signs, waving and honking car horns as they head out of town.
Tickets for the game can be purchased at goyotes.com and selecting South Dakota High School Football Championships. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students.
Sully Buttes faces Faulkton Area on Thursday with kickoff at 11:00 AM with the game on Country 95.3 with DT Meyer, the voice of the Chargers, on the call.
