The Pierre Governors are looking for its eighth straight trip to the DakotaDome, but have to go through Yankton and the top seeded Bucks tonight in the 11AA semifinal.
Back on September 27, the Governors would drop a 35-7 decision to the Yankton Bucks on homecoming as it was the third of four straight losses. Pierre had several injuries before, during and after the game. Steve Steele says it was rock bottom of the season…
Since the loss, Pierre is 4-1 with a four game winning streak and a much different team both more efficient on offense and defense. While the season has looked different for the Governors, this team and players have been a part of championships, including beating this Yankton team last year in the state title game. Tonight, Steele says getting out in front can pay dividends in more ways than one..
