PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. The agenda is slightly larger than last week’s agenda with four items of new business and a public hearing scheduled. The Commission will consider approval of a three-item consent calendar consisting of the claims, meeting minutes from last week’s meeting and a new hire for Central South Dakota Communications. At 5:45 pm a public hearing will be held for a resolution of necessity for the Euclid Avenue Water Services Improvement project. Commissioners will consider approval of a request to serve alcohol for the South Dakota Discovery Center’s Best for Last event on November 21st and an amendment and final payment for Brosz Engineering for construction oversight of the city wash bay project. Also on the agenda for the Commission is a request to abate property taxes for Countryside Hospice and a proposal by Dakota Supply Group for installation of Kamstrup Meters for the Water Department. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
