The O’Gorman Lady Knights were able to show why it’s one of the best teams in the state with a three set sweep of the Pierre Governors, 25-15, 25-18 and 25-9 on Friday.
The Governors would never lead at any point in the three sets. O’Gorman was led in the first set by Lauren Venenga with six kills, then by Makenzie Walsh with eight kills in set two. The two would have 12 and 11 kills respectively as OG had 37 kills in total with just nine hitting errors. Jaycee Bauer had eight kills for the Governors as Pierre had just 16 in total.
