Chargers Swept in Three Sets Tuesday in Onida

The Sully Buttes Charger volleyball team closed out the home portion of their season with a three set loss to second place Herreid Selby Area 25-22, 25-22, 25-13 on senior night.

The loss dropped the Chargers to 3-21 on the year with two more road games on schedule to finish the regular season, while Herreid Selby Area pushed their mark to 16-9, also with two games remaining.

Sully Buttes played their most competitive sets, but yet were undone once again by hitting errors.

Payge Bakker and Madison Bradberry led in kills for the Chargers, while the Wolverines’ Jordyn Rossow dominated center net and senior libero Stephanie Allbee controlled play in the back row with digs and passing.

Next up for Sully Buttes is a road contest Friday at Tulare to take on the 26-2 Hitchcock Tulare Lady Patriots. Herreid Selby Area hosts Region 6B top seed Ipswich Monday. The Tigers boast a record of 19-8.
