The Dupree Tigers would come into Fort Pierre on Thursday night and knock off the Stanley County Lady Buffaloes with a four set win 25-23, 26-24, 16-25 and 25-20.
The loss stops a three game winning streak for the Lady Buffs falling to 13-10 as Dupree improves to 5-9 on the season with the win. Stanley County couldn’t break free in any of the first two sets and dominated the third set, but found themselves down by too much in set four. While they made a run of to get the game to 24-20, the 10 plus points they needed in a row to tie the game was too much and Dupree scores the upset on senior night.
Stanley County will travel the rest of the regular season, first to Kadoka Area on Tuesday.
