The Pierre Governors would place sixth as a team at the 2024 Class A State Tennis Tournament while freshman Eliza Mayer would place second in singles flight five.
Mayer would reach the podium twice, taking second in singles competition, upsetting the number one seed to reach the finals, and placing fifth with Elise Bowers in doubles flight three. Breanna Tedrow in flight two would also place fifth and Adrian Hand in flight six would finish in fourth place for the Governors. Seniors Bailey Jessen and Ella Fisk in doubles flight one would place sixth while Jessen in singles flight one would also place sixth. Tedrow and Amara Dell in doubles flight two would also place sixth while Dell also had a sixth place finish in singles flight four.
Pierre would score a total of 231.5 points which was good for sixth place overall. St. Thomas More would finish with 488 total points to close out the state tournament with a team state championship.
