Governor Soccer Heads to Huron

Governor Soccer Heads to Huron

It’s the final week of the regular season for the Pierre Governor soccer teams as both teams have a chance at a 10 win regular season, but have to start with wins on the road in Huron tonight.

The Governor girls are 8-3-1 and want to keep the good habits going, taking on the 0-12 Tigers. The Governors have not had any problems with Huron in year’s past and don’t it to be the case this year. Huron has failed to score this season and are nearly averaging giving up 10 goals a game.

The Governor boys will have a tougher challenge. Pierre, also 8-3-1, want the offense to continue to take strides forward and take on a Huron team who is also struggling at 2-9-1 and are on the outside looking in at the playoffs. Huron has just seven goals in 12 games and have dropped three straight and are 1-8-1 in its last ten.

Kickoff of the girls game will be at 4:00 and the boys game to follow at 6:00 from Tiger Stadium in Huron.
