The Herreid/Selby Area Wolverines would come into Fort Pierre on Tuesday and knock off the Stanley County Lady Buffaloes in a tightly contested sweep, 25-19, 25-22 and 25-21.
Both teams traded points early in each of the three sets, but it was always the Wolverines who would pull away as the set would get late. Stanley County would make a run in each of the three sets trying to force extra points, but Herreid/Selby’s back row attack and defense stymied the Lady Buffs on the night.
Stanley County falls to 9-6 on the season while the Wolverines improve to 8-3. Stanley County will host Potter County on Thursday. First serve will be around 7:30 at the Parkview Auditorium.
