Legislative Research Council Seeking Housing Opportunities For Upcoming Legislative Session

(KCCR) — The 100th session of the South Dakota Legislature is still three-and-a-half months away, but the planning is well underway. Part of that planning is finding places for the dozens of legislators, interns and pages to stay during their tenure for the session. The Legislative Research Council is seeking individuals willing to provide furnished homes, apartments or rooms for rent during the session. Rental opportunities would be needed from January 14th through March 13th. Those willing to see if their accommodation will work are encouraged to fill out and submit a Housing Questionnaire that is available on the L-R-C website or by calling 605-773-3251 to request a copy of the questionnaire. The form is looking for information such as the type of housing being offered, any restrictions like no pets or smoking and any other information that would be useful to the renter. Rental prices are to be worked out between the parties involved A list of available housing will be distributed starting November 12th. If you have offered housing before and which to be removed or make changes call 605-773-3521.
