The Pierre Governor girls had a solid day at the Augustana Twilight Run on Friday as the girls team would place seventh with Emery Larson placing fifth individually.
There were a total of 39 teams and 324 runners on the girls side of the race with Larson placing fifth. Gwen Richter would be second for the Governors in 60th place while Harper Shaffer would place 79th, Elaina Rounds at 85th and Mason Berg at 95th for the four runners inside the top 100. Only Harrisburg and Lincoln finished better as a team than the Governors in the AA ranks.
On the boys side of the run, Pierre would finish 27th with Caleb Morris having the best Governor finish at 44th, Jason Brandt, Tryton Parmely and Daniel Mason would finish near middle of the pack for the Governors.
