Miller Dominates Sully Buttes in Three Set Sweep

Miller Dominates Sully Buttes in Three Set Sweep

Using a strong front line, solid defense and crisp passing, the Miller Rustler volleyball team made quick work of Sully Buttes by the scores of 25-14, 25-11 and 25-10 Thursday night at the Armory in Miller.

Experience by Miller kept the Chargers off balance with Sully Buttes committing numerous unforced hitting and passing errors. The only glitch in the Rustlers game was nine service errors, but still upped the season mark to 5-0 on the year.

Paige Werdel tallied seven kills with Gracen Werdel adding six for Miller. The Chargers were led in kills by Madison Bradberry.

Next up for the 1-5 Chargers is a road trip Tuesday to Ipswich to face the Tigers, followed by a Thursday match against Class A Winner, and finishing next week at a 10 team invitational at Philip. The Rustlers are at Class B top ranked Warner next Tuesday with a road match Saturday at Gettysburg to take on Potter County.

Tuesdays’ Sully Buttes match is the next Charger game broadcast on Country 95.3FM with DT Meyer on the call.
