The Pierre Governor cheer and dance will get its first of two competitions this week starting with a trip to Mitchell as a total of 17 teams will be participating at the Corn Palace.
The Governors will be one of those 17 teams as 14 will be from AA and another three from Class A. Gregory, Platte-Geddes/Andes Central/Dakota Christian and Winner will be competing from Class A while all AA schools except for Douglas, Spearfish, Lincoln and the Rapid City schools. The Governors won’t be overlooking the event, but will be ready to be home to compete in front of the home fans on Saturday when 12 teams will be in town for the Pierre invite.
Tonight, the event gets underway at 5:00 at the Corn Palace in Mitchell.
