PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. In special business the Commission will learn more about a remodeling at the Rawlins Municipal Library that will lead to a brief closure of the library while work is being done. Commissioners will consider approval of a four-item consent calendar before considering approval of two street closure requests. One is for a neighborhood block party while the second is for the 2024 T-F Riggs Homecoming parade. The Commission will consider final actions to close out the Highway 34 water loop project and the 2023 street paving projects. Commissioners will consider giving authorization for a grant application for the Runway 13-31 project, a request for public facilities improvement grant funds for the Fort Pierre All-Season Fish Cleaning station and first reading will be given to the 2025 budget ordinance. Commissioners will close out the meeting by presenting any dialogue they may have. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm. The meeting is open to the public.
