After last Friday’s loss, the Stanley County Buffaloes will have to regroup quick as the competition only gets tougher. Tonight, the Buffs will be in Parkston to face top ranked and defending 9AA champion, Parkston.
The Trojans beat Howard 12-7 last season in the Dakotadome to finish the perfect season going 12-0 and winning the 9AA championship and had lost to Wall in the state championship the year before in 2022. This year, the Trojans started with a win over Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy with a 42-14 score. Stanley County is coming in off a loss to the new 9-man team in Hill City 48-6. The Buffaloes lost four players to injury last week with Paxton Deal, Case Kolda and Cash Richardson all with concussion symptoms and then Hayden Roggow with an ankle injury. While there’s always a chance for these guys to return, Max Foth, head coach of the Stanley County Buffaloes, does not want to push them back to soon and are preparing to play without them. He says he’s excited to get back on the field this week after last week’s loss…
Foth laughs saying the good thing about playing Parkston and with how good they’ve been, you know it’s going to be one of the hardest games of the season…
Foth says confidence is key tonight for the Buffaloes…
Kickoff from Parkston is at 7:00 tonight.
