PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Hughes County Commission is meeting tonight at the Hughes County Courthouse. The Commission will consider approval of meetings and claims before moving on to the main agenda. A public hearing is scheduled for 5:30 pm for final consideration of an ordinance revising the time frame for posting political signs in the joint extraterritorial area. Final consideration will be give to three replatting requests also in the extraterritorial area requiring a joint meeting with members of the Pierre City Commission. The Commission will consider roster changes for the Pierre Rural Fire Department and renewal of a hunting preserve liquor license. The Commission will also consider department personnel items and declaring property as surplus along with discussions on the county budget. The Commission will hear reports from liaisons, the auditor and county manager before meeting in executive session to consider human resource matters.
