North Dakota State Begins Polasek Era

North Dakota State Begins Polasek Era

While not new to North Dakota State, Tim Polasek takes over as the next head coach of the Bison, returning after last coaching with NDSU in 2016 under Chris Klieman.

The Bison went 11-4 last season losing its three regular season games to all three Dakota schools, but getting revenge against South Dakota in the playoffs and reaching the semifinals. North Dakota state has reached at least the semifinals in every year since 2010 other than the spring of 2020. As Polasek gets familiar again with Fargo, he says it’s getting familiar with the staff and players…

One of the big returners to this year’s team is Pierre’s Grey Zabel who has been given the title of Chief Ram. While the offensive line will have a different look, Zabel will be anchoring and leading the line. Polasek says he wants to see comradery, communication and cohesiveness with the O-line…

And as the standard has been for many years with North Dakota State, Polasek says to continue the tradition is to have the chip on their shoulder…

North Dakota State opens the season with a road game against FBS opponent in Colorado. Kickoff is at 7:00 on Thursday, August 29 in Boulder.
