Severe drought now makes up four-point-six percent of drought in South Dakota. Moderate drought expanded by four-percent while abnormally dry areas grew six-percent. Drought-free areas fell by six-percent. Abnormally dry areas grew 63-percent this week in Jackson County; 41-percent in Haakon; 49-percent in Ziebach and five-percent in Dewey County.
