The Hastings Sodbusters would get the 6-1 win on Wednesday night, finishing off a three game sweep of the Oahe Zap at Hyde Stadium in Pierre.
Emiliano Curiel-Montijo would get the lone RBI, which tied the game at 1-1 at the end of the second. But Hastings would score a run in the third, three in the fifth and another run in the seventh for the win. Noah Wiggins would finish with two of the Zap’s six hits while Oahe used three pitchers to get through the game. Jackson Mix would throw five innings giving up five runs, four earned on seven hits with two walks and a strikeout.
Oahe falls to 9-11 in the second half of the season and will have its final home game of the year on Thursday. The Zap host Fremont for a single game before heading to Casper to finish the season in the final three games. First pitch on Thursday is at 6:05 from Hyde Stadium.
