Amanda Stoeser would be awarded 2023 Dance Coach Of the Year at the 53rd Annual South Dakota High School Coaches Association Awards Banquet on Sunday July 14th in Mitchell.
Stoeser has been coaching the Riggs Competitive Dance Team since 2018 and serves at the President of the South Dakota Dance Coaches Association. Stoeser was one of the 19 head coaches to receive the award in their specific sport. Overall there were 30 awards handed out from the state including the Hall of Fame dinner on July 14. Six members were inducted into the Hall of Fame with Charlie Sizer from Miller being a local name with the Class of 2024 Hall of Fame.
The Pierre Governor cheer and dance team will begin practice on Monday, August 5 and have its first competition on Saturday, August 31 in Aberdeen.
