The season is down to the final two doubleheaders with three opponents as Pierre Post 8 will travel to Brandon this evening to take on Brandon Valley, who sits right above them in the standings.
Brandon Valley is coming in having not played since Sunday in the final games of the Gopher Classic. Post 131 went 2-3 at the tournament and did not advance out of the pool to the Round of 16. Overall Brandon Valley is at 15-16 on the season and 6-8 in South Dakota games. They have just four games remaining against South Dakota opponents trying to get over the .500 mark. Pierre has dropped to 6-15 in South Dakota games and have fallen below Harrisburg Maroon in the standings and are now in 12th place. Pierre still needs just one win to help secure a spot in the playoffs. Only the Renner Sultans and Yankton are left on the schedule after today, both to be played Sunday in Renner.
