The Kansas City Monarchs would hit three home runs and beat the Sioux Falls Canaries on Wednesday to take the rubber match of the three game set with a 10-5 victory.
Ross Adolph would hit a solo homer in the fifth, Danny Amaral hit a two run shot in the sixth and Trent Giambrone had a three run home run in the seventh to power the Monarchs to a victory. Trevor Achenbach would hit a solo homer in the top of the eighth, his seventh of the season for Sioux Falls, but the Canaries produced just six hits in the loss. Spencer Sarringar would go 0-3 with a walk in Wednesday’s loss.
The Canaries drop to 18-11 on the season and will take the day off on Thursday before playing at home on Friday for a weekend series against the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks.
