The Pierre Governors will have a new head coach of the volleyball team this coming fall as Carrie Wheelhouse was officially hired on Tuesday to take the reigns of the program.

Pierre finished last year just one set away from a third straight trip back to the state tournament. The Govs went 10-11 in 2023. Prior, Pierre had placed eighth in the 2021 state tournament and fifth in the 2022 state tournament.
Volleyball practice starts on Thursday, August 15 with the first game scheduled at home on Tuesday, August 27.
