The Oahe Zap and Fremont Moo would finish the series on Monday, but played a doubleheader after Sunday’s game was rained out. Fremont would take both games with a 9-2 and 7-0 wins.
Both games were played as seven inning games and in game one, it would take until the final inning for the Zap to score. Fremont opened with a two run first and added another two in the third before scoring five in the sixth to seal any doubt and comeback from the Zap. Oahe had a two RBI double by Jacob Trusner in the top of the seventh.
The Zap would be shutout on a two hitter from three different Fremont pitchers. The Moo would score its first and winning run in the bottom of the third before adding two runs in each of the fourth, fifth and sixth innings. Cooper Fuchino would hit a two run homer in the bottom of the sixth.
Oahe is now 2-8 on the season and will be back home on Wednesday to start a two game set against the Nebraska Prospects. First pitch from Hyde Stadium is at 6:05.
